HOW TO GET TO MALTA CAMPSITE (MLH 7500) (35° 59' 41.76" N 14° 22' 06.62" E)
With a wonderfully warm climate, the Maltese Islands are a very popular holiday destination. The Malta International Airport operates various international airlines as well as our national carrier AirMalta.
Ryanair, Easy-Jet are also adding new routes flying to Malta
from many smaller and major airports. Direct flights to Malta depart from most major European cities as well as North Africa and the Middle East. The Valletta Grand Harbour also has a frequent car and passenger ferry service between Malta, Sicily and Italy.
From the airport it is approximately 1 hour drive to our
campsite. From Valletta Ferry Terminal it also takes
approximately 1 hour to drive.
Follow the signs for Gozo ferry
terminal. After passing through Mellieha Bay - climbing up
the winding hill - at the top of the winding hill up come to
the brow (Red Tower on the hill side to your left) - turn right (Sign posted Armier Bay and
Adventure Camp Site). There are quite a few advertising
signs along with ours as you approach this right hand
turning. Keep on going straight - take the 6th left hand
turn then keep on going down the small road all the way to the sea. There is a single pole mast with a red flashing light on the hill by the site.
Should you be coming by Bus no.45 Towards the Gozo Ferry:
Keep on passing through Mellieha Village and through Mellieha Bay up the hill and
take the right hand turn at the brow of the hill (Red Tower on the hill side to your left) (Sign
posted Armier Bay and Adventure Camp Site). Keep on going straight
- take the 6th left hand turn then keep on going down the
small road all the way to the sea.
Mellieħa is a rural village in the north western part of the island of Malta. Together with the Hamlet of Manikata, the region makes up one of the country's most important historical areas. It is also home to many rare and protected species of wildlife. Its close proximity to the seashores attracts a great number of colourful birds. With only 8,200 residents, Mellieħa and Manikata offer a relaxed "rural-island" experience. Fertile farmlands provide fresh produce to the region’s restaurants. Local farmers have banded together to preserve their authentic farming practices and many old farmhouses were turned into bed and breakfasts. As a Destination of Excellence (EDEN) the region won the "Tourism and protected areas award" in 2009. Read more about Mellieha >>>>

RELAX, ENJOY, EXPLORE
Malta Campsite is located on the northern tip of the Island of Malta - approximately 4km from the village of Mellieha - famous for its golden sandy beach. Also situated close by, is Cirkewwa, where daily ferries run between the islands of Malta and Gozo. The campsite itself is situated at L'Ahrax tal-Mellieha, probably the quietest and most unspoilt rural area of the Island.
This is somewhere you really can relax, enjoy and explore
Malta. If you enjoy walking there are breathtaking views all
around.
